BANÜ-SAT faculty consists of 5 instructors, 2 of whom are First Class Divers, each of whom is experienced in their field. Our students have the opportunity to graduate with the skills and equipment to operate in almost every field related to the underwater sector, with a training curriculum consisting of 50% applied courses. Theoretical training is carried out at the Maritime Vocational School Campus, and practical training is carried out at the Edincik Maritime Campus. The practice training area is a candidate to be Turkey's most popular diving training area due to its infrastructure, coastal structure and suitability of sea conditions.
Our students take marine sciences, basic diving knowledge, diving health, equipment knowledge and navigation courses in the first year (1st and 2nd semester). Applied diving training is carried out with SCUBA systems, and our students specialize in SCUBA diving, diving systems, water lifesaving and first aid. In the second year (3rd and 4th semester), training focuses on underwater work and subjects requiring special skills, and training is provided on cutting-welding operations, underwater imaging, advanced diving and technical diving. Applied training is carried out entirely with Surface Supply Diving Systems (SIDS) and the application contents focus on industrial diving, rescue diving and mixed gas diving. A wide pool of elective courses is offered for our students who want to specialize in different areas of the underwater industry. Our program also has a mobile SIDS diving cabin, allowing more efficient and effective use of application training.
