Programme Introduction
With the growth of trade, a more competitive perspective in ports and new investments have brought about the need for a specialised workforce. The Maritime and Port Management Programme has been designed to meet the need for qualified specialists who have a strong knowledge of both maritime operations and supply chain logistics operations required by the maritime and port sectors, as well as the rapidly developing logistics sector.
As an interdisciplinary programme, the Maritime and Port Management Programme primarily aims to train qualified technicians who possess both technical and managerial knowledge of the maritime sector and who are aware of the importance of the details of the profession. The main objective of the programme is to provide students with both theoretical and practical education in basic maritime studies and port management.
In addition to fundamental courses related to ports, logistics and management, students specialise in their fields by taking courses such as Navigation, Seamanship, Safety and Security at Sea, Maritime English, Cargo Operations and Ship Stability. Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded an associate degree diploma in Maritime and Port Management.
