Our Maritime Vocational School Graduation Ceremony
Our Maritime Vocational School graduation ceremony was held with great excitement and enthusiasm. The ceremony, hosted by our Maritime Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Serel, Prof. Dr. Ebru Kaya Mutlu and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, our General Secretary Faruk Küçük, our academic and administrative staff, our students, and their esteemed relatives.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem. A promotional film about our university was then shown to the attendees. Following the promotional film, the Maritime Vocational School students held a ceremonial procession. Afterwards, our Maritime Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş delivered the opening speech. In his speech, he congratulated the graduating students and wished them success in their professional lives. Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz then delivered his welcoming speech. Rector İsmail Boz congratulated the students on their graduation and wished them success in their new lives. Following the protocol speeches, Mahmut Mücahit Kura, a student from the Shipbuilding Program who graduated first in our Vocational School in the 2025-2026 academic year, performed the plaque-placing ceremony on the graduation register. In his speech on behalf of all graduating students, Mahmut Mücahit Kura shared the joy and pride of graduation with the attendees. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, and the Director of the Maritime Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Karadurmuş, presented him with his certificate of achievement and award. Later in the ceremony, certificates of achievement and awards were presented to the top-performing students in the Vocational School and their respective departments by our Vice Rectors and the heads of the relevant departments/programs.
Our students, along with our academic and administrative staff, took commemorative photos, and the students and their families experienced the joy of graduation with great excitement and happiness. The ceremony concluded with the graduating students throwing their caps into the air together.
