Maritime and Port Management students conducted a technical trip to Çelebi Bandırma Port.
Students from the Maritime and Port Management Program at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University's Maritime Vocational School conducted a technical visit to Çelebi Bandırma International Port Management to strengthen their practical knowledge exchange with the sector. During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about port operations, cargo handling processes, occupational health and safety practices, and port management activities. Throughout the technical trip, students examined the port area and operational zones, reinforcing the theoretical knowledge they gained in their courses with practical applications. During the program, Çelebi Bandırma International Port Management Operations Manager Erhan Bambal, Marketing Specialist Erdem Alkan, and Mert Şahin, a graduate of the Maritime Vocational School, accompanied the students, sharing information about the port's operational structure, career opportunities, and current developments in the sector. Mert Şahin's sharing of his career experiences was a significant source of motivation for the students' professional development. Students also had the opportunity to closely examine the equipment and vessels used in port services and received answers from experts regarding the planning and execution of operational processes. As the Maritime Vocational School, we would like to thank the management of Çelebi Bandırma International Port Management, Operations Manager Erhan Bambal, Marketing Specialist Erdem Alkan, and our alumnus Mert Şahin for this valuable collaboration that enables our students to meet with industry representatives and contributes to their professional development.
